So, you had a little extra time on your hands this past year? You're not the only one! The silver lining to this challenging last year is that it has inspired many of us to slow down and reconnect. This is why we are seeing so many beautiful blessings come out of it. This is such a special time in your life and we want to support you and your body's changes as your tiny human grows.

...and we, at KÔR, think Pilates is a great start to this mind-body awareness the renowned Ina May speaks of.

*If you have had any previous miscarriage(s), first of all, we are incredibly sorry for your loss and would like to take extra precautions. We ask that you wait until your 1st trimester is complete to start a Pilates program with us. We also request that all prenatal mamas have at least 5 private sessions before starting small group classes. This way you can build a solid foundation and get to know some of the fundamentals and adjustments you might need to make during class.

Postnatal

We call the postnatal period the 4th trimester. We think it is a period of time that should be recognized and respected just like all the other trimesters during pregnancy.

Some things we may address with postnatal mothers is posture, core, pelvic floor, diastasis recti, and stability versus laxity. 

*We strongly recommend several private sessions before starting small group classes. We will check each postnatal mama for diastasis recti before starting a Pilates program with us. It's a quick non-invasive check of your abdominals with your shirt on...or we can even teach you how to check for yourself!
